Halloween Cat
Jun 3rd, 2008 | By Mable | Category: Featured Articles, Miss KittyMiss Kitty came to us after the death of Tramp, a very noble dude cat. I just felt something was missing from my life, asked my friend for a cat, and vavoom, there she was. Her hair is black and gold, a tortoise shell as the vet calls her. Because of her coloring, my brother in law calls her the Halloween cat.
Miss Kitty is also long haired, an asset in the winter but unbearable during our south Louisiana summers. It is a ritual of summer when she and I gather on the steps, scissors in hand, for her annual cut. I’m never been trained as a pet groomer, so I grab a handful of hair and clip. Evidently, she enjoys this time because she sits still for as long as I want to cut. Our friends have learned to recognize her distinctive “chop-chop” haircuts, so as you view her pictures look for it!
